Helminth Infection among Children Living in an Urban Area in Tropical Countries: A Systematic Review

Background
 
 Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a group of preventable and treatable diseases, in which soil-transmitted helminth (STH) infections among the most common worldwide. Most affected children this review aims to identify prevalence, risk factors impact STH an urban area. Methodology
 This was guiding using PRISMA protocol incorporating research question “What is infection countries?". The databases used include SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE, OVID MEDLINE PUBMED. articles observational interventional studies conducted aged 18 years less from 2010 2020. main outcome measure seen includes social backgrounds, sanitation policy.
 Results
 From initial 973 found database searching, only 13 selected for qualitative synthesis after exclusion screening eligibility done. overall prevalence ranges 4.8-48.9%. associated factor that influences living area age, male more than female, low socioeconomic status, parents’ education level, slum or crowded area, water quality practice poor hygiene practice. deworming tablets consumption acts as protective infections. medium haemoglobin value significantly lower helminth-infected compared uninfected stunting, underweight well moderate acute malnutrition were attributable infections.
 Conclusion
 intensity helminthiasis heterogeneous areas developing countries, however, endemicity still high. Further efforts including healthy policies, continuous national programmes multi-sectoral partnership required reduce
